About Clean Minecraft Videos

Meet the Founders
Clean Minecraft Videos is owned, managed, updated, and funded entirely by two high-school Sophomore students, Mitchell Brown and Scotty Vrablik. The company started over four years ago in the summer of 2013 - when Mitchell and Scotty were only 11 years old.

Scotty and Mitchell are honor-roll students at Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Illinois, and graduates of Quest Academy in Palatine, Illinois. Both schools have tremendously supported their endeavors and helped them better understand entrepreneurship, coding, and web development.

Early-on in their journey as young entrepreneurs, the two boys received incredible opportunities such as receiving praise from industry-professional Ms. Jane McGonigal and an article in the Chicago Tribune.

The Inspiration
In early 2013, Mitchell's younger brother, Grant, who was 7-years old at the time, was watching a Minecraft video on YouTube. Within a few minutes of the video's introduction, the content creator, or "YouTuber", began cussing. Knowing that Minecraft is a family-friendly, cuss-free video game, Mitchell requested that his brother

changed the video. Within two minutes of the next video, the same scenario unfolded.
The same night, Mitchell decided to create a basic website with a few appropriate Minecraft videos for his brother's viewing enjoyment... and his peace-of-mind that his brother is not picking up inappropriate language.

Very shortly after, Mitchell realized that he could offer such a service to a larger audience, and he invited Scotty to join him in the development process.

Original Development
Clean Minecraft Videos' original mobile app for Android Google Play was published in March of 2014, offering 100 Minecraft videos from three content creators. A publicly accessible website was published on June 11, 2014, offering the same features and videos as the Android app.

An Apple app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch was in development for several years, and eventually published on August 30, 2016.
